Looking at the DDRC-88A, for two channels in to 8 channels out (sub, woofer, mid, tweeter).
What is needed for FIR based bandpass filters?
Would I need special FIR plugin?
And are there banks of FIRs for each preset, and the taps get loaded in when the specific preset is selected?

Or does the DIRAC escentially do a phase optimisation (like a FIR based can do) after the crossover?

Correct - the FIR filters are used by Dirac Live, you don't have direct access to them.

In the DDRC-88BM plugin there are IIR crossover filters.

Lots of detail in the user manual.

HTH :)
