Dear all,
Please sort the actions listed below from 1 to 7 before Dirac (9-point measurement and create Dirac-live target curve) and after Dirac, if spoken in DDRC-24. If I have forgotten to indicate an action, please add some:

1. Use the Xover (Crossover) Module in the DDRC-24 plugin when DDRC-24 is used as Stereo room correction and stereo supporting woofers / FAST
2. Use the PEQ (Parametric equalization) module in the DDRC-24 plugin when DDRC-24 is used as Stereo room correction and stereo supporting woofers / FAST
3. Use PEQ (Parametric equalization) in the DDRC-24 plugin in case when DDRC-24 is a corrector of poorly executed Crossover in full range speakers or generally poorly-executed loudspeakers (Although the drivers are great)
4. Trying to have a frequency-phase response of the speaker <> room perfectly flat
5. Trying that the frequency-phase response of the speaker <> room is as similar to the Dirac-live target curve
6.Trying that using the PEQ (Parametric equalization) and Xover (Crossover) modules in the DDRC-24 plugin will give the the sound that most likes the listener
7.Cutting the lowest frequencies using the Xover (Crossover) module in the DDRC-24 plugin if the bass speaker can not play lower or already know that room modes are such that it is best to set a sharp cut for example 28 Hz.

Thank you,

@ Sanji99,

We've got a very clear step by step app note here on Dirac + crossover on a DDRC-24.
www.minidsp.com/applications/digital-roo...rc-24-for-2-1-system
Same applies to DDRC-88
www.minidsp.com/applications/digital-cro...akers-with-ddrc-88bm

Worth that you start doing this first.. :-)

Dear dev_team,
I own the DDRC-24 for about 1 year and I really like it as a device that turned my, In terms of acoustics, a bad room and weak amplifier into a almost hi-end system for listening to music.
Some of my friends were almost shocked after the presentation of my DDRC-24 on their expensive devices in their rooms. Some of them are serious about purchasing.
However, time has come to change. The weak amplifier was replaced by much better quality and more power, I set up new speakers with top drivers, but it's about self-construction. Of course, the idea is that the room is acoustically treated.
I just bought two pieces of 12 inches Visaton TIW-300 high-end bass drivers 8 ohms and 2 more monoblocks of 300 W @ 8 ohm, 600 W @ 4 ohms.
For now I listen just 2 chanel music, so what I plan to set up is the FAST system. I would kindly ask you some other helpful tips except what I read in the user manual on setting up such a system.

For now, If I understand the texts from the forum and/or the instructions for DDRC-24 and DDRD-88A correctly, your advice is to always :
a) make flat curve for Frequencies over 80 or 120 Hz. I guess I will do it by using REW and import and import biquad parameters (i have not tried this method yet)
“Then use the PEQ blocks on each output channel to shape the response of each driver so that it is flat over its operating range”
+
Add the crossover
“Open the crossover settings screen by clicking on the Xover button on the Outputs tab.”

b) make 9 measurements with a Dirac-live
“Once that's all done perform perform your Dirac Live calibration as described in the User Manual (pdf).”

c) only after a) and b) try to correct things like, for example, weak response to bass with XOVER and/or PEQ
“Then set up your bass management as described in the app note Bass management with the DDRC-88BM"
and also:
If using an indoor measurement (as in the example), be careful not to correct for peaks and notches caused by the room.
and
Note: it may be tempting to change the delay on the output channels to get a smooth response through the crossover. This should be avoided: remember that Dirac Live has already set delays on all channels, so subsequently changing the delay on the output channels will corrupt its calibration.

Regards.
