I would like to install DDRC24 in the car so I use an Android phone as a sound source, a high quality output amplifier and speakers . I would, of course, connect the phone via a USB port and not through a poor analog output. Is that possible ?
Thank you for the reply.

While we can't advertize as Android with OTG depends on the phone OS, we've indeed tested fine OTG cable + 2x4HD.
unfortunately we can't say for sure it will work outside our bench.. It's too risky for us to make that statement as for sure, knowing the size of the community, one member will back at us saying Phone XYZ with OS XZY (each android phone os is customized by manufacturer) will not work. :-(

So you can indeed try! Most likely will work.. ;-)

Dear Devteam,

so you can add Sony XPERIA M5 to your list. What is important (as a user of Android I did not know that) it was necessary to disable the default option " Clear audio + " . After that, 2x4HD (Dirac) worked with Sony M5 model trough USB.
(on some another like noname Android model it was necessary to disable the "DTS" option).

Best regards.

Wow.. great news and glad to hear it worked out.. :-)
Do you mind to tell the community a bit more about the "Clear Audio +". Which setting is that under?

Thanks and have fun!

USB audio, settings for SONY (XPERIA) phones with Android 6, Marshmallow:

Settings> Sound & notification> Quality / Audio settings> ClearAudio+ (Off); Sound effects (Off); Dynamic normalizer (Off)

enjoy
