Hello to all forum members,

I would be very pleased if anyone could help me with the following problem.

In a first step I have successfully set up a DDRC-24 as a stereo setup with two main (active) speakers. I have been very satisfied with this config an it works fine. In a second step I actually try to integrate a subwoofer. Now the problem begins.

I connected the active sub to output 3. Within DDRC-Plugin output matrix I set output 3 from off to 0dB for Dirac 1 and 2 but the level meter still remained at -117dB. :(

Low- and High-Pass (75 Hz) were set for outputs 1 und 2 (Mains) und 3 (Sub) according to the manual. Crossover for main speakers works fine. The low frequencies are cut correctly but still no signal at output 3. Level meter still remains on -117 dB. Of course mute is not activated.

What went wrong ?

Thanky you so much for your assistance.

Cheers
Joachim

By Level meter, you mean on the Output&Levels page? Is there no sound from the speakers either?

Hi john.reekie,

thanks for your reply.

Output & Levels page , yes.
Sound with working crossovers is coming from the main speakers, no sound is coming from the sub.

I can't really think of any reason that would be that like. I guess I'd try this:

If you connect the sub to output 1, does it make noise?
If you connect a speaker (via amp) to output 3, does it make noise? (if not, also bypass the low pass filter)

That would eliminate "downstream" issues.

Also:

- if running test signal separately (not in DLCT), use REW signal generator not music (can be misleading)
- don't run DDRC-24 plugin and DLCT at the same time

@ Joachim

Most likely a misconfiguration inside your DDRC-24 plugin (not Dirac).
Best that you start a tech support ticket and share both your DDRC-24 plugin configuration + Dirac project. Will be the easiest.
