I have connected it and run the roomcorrection procedure.
My preamp/dac (Groundsound DCN 28) is connecteded via coax.
The test signals was OK and the Dirac software made the curve and suggested target etc.

But i have no music. I use Sonos Connect as a source. I have tested spdif-spdif, optica-optical and optical-spdif (source-dirac-preamp/dac).

After testing of different connections i also suddenly got some extra noise. When i turn off the Dirac the noise disapears. I have a 112 dB horn system so the noise is relative low.

Should i use a volume control on the Dirac?

Anyone who can help?

Now i connected another source and it works.
I have to so some more tests, anyway, it plays music

Is there any risc for digital clipping?

The volume in the small "connection window " is minus 10 dB

The corrections are larger than 10 dB with the worst dips and peaks.

It will all depend on the levels you're feeding and the type of unit. If you're using a DDRC-22D, 99% that you should be using the -10dB choice in the DDRC-22 utility. That's because the Digital audio feed (SPDIF/TOSLINK/AES) will be very close to 0dBFS.

And altså the bass boost in the target above 0 dB?

Is the minus 10 default a buffer for the corrections? Or should i in addition to that never play with max volume with the digitale volume control in the Dirac unit?

My system is like this: SONOS Connect fixed volume (100%) -> SPDIF -> DIRAC -> TOSLINK -> Groundsound DCN28 with analoge volumecontrol and digital autogain in the dsp so the gain newe exeeds 0 dB. www.groundsound.com/dcn28.php

Yes, the -10dB is indeed a buffer for correction. I would "strongly" recommend that you don't run your system without the default attenuation (-10dB on the DDRC-22D).

As for your target curve, rule of thumb#1 when doing target curve editing. Always stay close to the specs of your speakers (or below is better). Your speaker can't achieve the target curve you're after. Best that you don't overstress it by trying to bend rules of physics.
