Hello

I have 2x4HD and I am testing Dirac Live Suite Trial on my Mac and I am still evaluating Dirac results compared to my own REW generated PEQ filters. If results are good enough I will propably upgrade my 2x4HD to DDRC-24. As far as I can tell DDRC-24 is missing input PEQ and Output FIR sections so it is propably using those components to make Dirac work.

So one question came to my mind. Is there some limitations in Dirac implementation on DDRC-24 (for example 10 filters per channel) and are the results between Mac Dirac Suite vs DDRC-24 comparable? I ask because I see that Dirac Suite is propably using more than 10 filters per channel to achieve corrections.

Thanks in advance.

@ tahvero

Thanks for your kind comments and here are some answers (to some extend knowing we're under strict NDA) on Dirac live.
- First of all, remember that the DDRC-24 runs at 48k. So processing math you're trying to extrapolate here as to how much DSP processing power (aka FIR + IIR) is being re-used for Dirac) is going to be off.
- We unfortunately can't be specific on details but can just tell you that if you select Dirac Live 48k on PC,you'd have the exact same representation on DDRC-24 since we've followed the exact implementation. :-)
