Yesterday I installed my new DDRC-22D and successfully ran a couple of configurations and am very impressed with the results.

I have it placed between an Auralic Aries working as a ROON endpoint and a Nuprime IDA-16 integrated digital amplifier. The connection is made using high quality audio SPDIF cable. When the Auralic was/is connected directly to the Nuprime, it correctly displays the sampling rate for files which range from 16/44.1 to 32/192.

I now see for all files played using the 22D on both bypass and through Dirac, the Nuprime only shows a sample rate of 44.1 rather than 96 as I expected. Based on past evidence I believe the Nuprime to be accurately reflecting its received sample rate. So am wondering if the 22D is behaving as expected or (as is quite possible) I've made an error somewhere while configuring it? Advice would be appreciated very much.

Many thanks

Pieter

@ Pieter,

Odd indeed.. I wonder if it's just down to the SPDIF metadata to showcase the right sample rate.
Sample rate is being added as part of the stream as metadata (for display info). Maybe a bug somewhere to investigate.

Could you please send us more details via a tech support ticket (support.minidsp.com) . We can see the correct stream here on the Audio Precision (SPDIF inspector) so maybe something else to investigate.
