I have recently installed updated my DRC88BM to the latest firmware

Questionable behavior is Channel 3 is checked off as SUBWOOFER but ouputs a tone like channel1,2 etc ... Channel 4 is outputing a sub bass tone.... I could switch the output wiring respectively but would rather move the subwoofer / check mark to channel 4 but it will not allow this
Cannot move the check mark in that row to #4 Why not ?????

Why even have that row and check mark if you cant move it to another output

Have you checked where the tone is coming from? It sounds as though you have your output wiring mixed up...

I haven't tried recently but I think you can only change the Sub checkbox in Custom mode.

@ rts100x5

Standard 5.1 is OUT3 as sub, it's as per Dolby standards. if you wired on ch4, you are in need of a custom setup (i..e non dolby) As mentioned by John, you're most likely using the default 5.1 or 7.1 setup. Just select "CUSTOM" as the first drop down section and you'll be able to modify the number of subs or location in the channel assignment.

HTH.

rewired sub to in/out 3 and now is working fine.... maybe I should have read more closely in the setup guide but I dont remember seeing that information...

Does MiniDSP offer XLR balanced cable set for the 88 ??? I had to make my own to start that was very tedious and obviously had to cut up some new XLR cables in the process....

@ rts100x5

Glad to hear it's all working. :-)
Yes, we do have these XLR cables available (see DDRC-88A as product option). Feel free to contact us if you need some.
