I have a pre/pro from Primare, the SP33 with its A30.7 amplifier. In between sits the DDRC-88A with Phoenix terminals and XLR in use.
I calibrated my 5.1 setup with distance and levels at 0 in the pre/pro and let DiracLive do its job.
However in the setup menu of the Primare pre/pro I need to specifiy the crossover for the subwoofer and the other speakers.
There is no bypass mode , so I set 80Hz as standard for all speakers.
Should I set it higher or lower for Dirac?

The subwoofer is a Velodyne SPL 800 Ultra and it comes with a calibration mic and EQ modes.
I understand that I need to run it with Dirac on defaut settings but is there an issue with the crossover settings in the pre/pro?
I put the subwoofer in Direct mode to match with the output of the DDRC-88A and the Dirac calibration.
Is this correct?

Next question, can I place the microphone randomly within the sofa pattern for example or should I set the calibration points at the same height for the higher mesurements and do the same for the lower mesurements?
Unfortunately this part is not clear enough to me. I just know that 30cm is needed between 2 mesurement points.

I guess I also have an issue with the center channel as voices are too low and I figured out there is an usual level gap between whispers and loud dialogue. I also noticed much more bass going through the center as before without calibration.
Maybe the sub integration is so good that my ears think that it comes from the center channel :woohoo: :silly: :pinch:
Will it help to configure the front stage as a group?

I'm currently experimenting with target curves and I will try to group the front stage anyway but I would appreciate qualified advices ;)
I can post later a screenshot of the actual default calibration before optimization.

I like to set the target curve on the center to implement a boost at around 5 kHz on the center channel (2-3 dB IIRC) and to reduce the output from maybe 100-150 down. Maybe you could try that and see.
