I'm hoping someone may have some clues for me to troubleshoot on this.

I am having inconsistent balance. I was getting about -10 my Left channel when doing a configuration. After config it was great - perfect balance.

About 5 hours later - its +10db on left with same config.


I have tuled out speakers as a problem by switching the sides each speaker is on and that doesn't change the balance.

I can center my image by manually adjusting the balance on preamp but I find myself making significant changes daily.

My Gear:

MiniDSP DDRC-88d
Pre Amp: Parasound Halo
P5 Power Amp: Emotiva xpa-200 Speakers: Monitor Audio RS6
Sub: Monitor Audio ASW-100
Source 1: SONOS:Connect (streaming FLAC from media center)
Source 2: Teac TN-300 Turntable

That sounds very odd indeed and not something that should happen. possible that by error a tick box got selected as "SUB" for one of the channels on the Custom section?

Wiring issue worth double checking of course? Worth to see if it's not something down to a missing ground/pin on a phoenix connect that would remove 6dB on a balanced signal.

Thanks for the advice. I swapped out XLR cables and regained balance on left channel.

No issue on the MiniDSP. Sounds great now
