When running a custom configuration with a 2.1 set up my subwoofer level set by the unit is always 10dB too low. I level match as per the recommended way and the on screen readings are at -12. However when the actual measurement runs, the sub channel is too loud audibly and visibly as measured on the screen. Im guessing the channel I now boosted by 10dB thus ignoring the previous channel matching resulting in the output being trimmed by 10dB at the end result. This does not make sense as per using the custom configuration. No matter what I have tried , configurations or permutations the unit always ends up 10dB low.

My unit is gain matched and set to the 8v output option as my complete system uses balanced connections. If I reset the unit to default or physically bypass the unit im back to where I originally was and have my original and correct level. It does not make sense that I have to now go and boost my subwoofer output further down the line after the dirac calibration especially in the custom configuration.

@ Rudi G,

Interesting indeed. So selecting "CUSTOM" in Dirac Live and connecting directly to a SUB?
Are you sure that the issue isn't down to the way it's connected here in your setup? What's your gain structure and setup?
Source - > DDRC-88A (which outputs btw, all 4 balanced - > Amp?

Can you please create a tech support ticket with our team (minidsp.desk.com) so we can check your project?

Thanks!
