I have logged in and connected to the DDRC-88A.
I have looked up the Activation Serial number.
When I go the the minidsp.com/dirac-series/activate/#activate - the page opens.
It has a big box to click to actual put int he activation code (step 5 of the installation manual).
NO PAGE IS AVAILABLE. I HAVE TRIED THIS ON THREE DIFFERENT PLATFORMS.
I am NOT running Dirac Live Calibration.
I have set up 5 of these systems in the past - I do not know what is happening, but I have an installtion in the morning!

HELP!

I got the same problem 2 days ago. It takes me 1 hour to find the solution! Why minidsp team does not check that before to send the unit ?

And, on an other hand, I can not use Dirac Live calibration toole because it does not see my unit. I have openned a thicket with tech supports.
It is my first minidsp product and I paid a lot of money and nothing works for now.
For now, I do not like my experience.
I will wait for tech answers.

Dear barrarich and RenPa

Thanks for your patience as we're just back from Chinese New Year holidays.

Sorry to hear of this issue. It sounds like this link got broken on Dirac Licensing server (not part of miniDSP website) while we were on holidays.. However we can't reproducet the issue from our side anymore so most likely that Dirac solved the issue.
In answer to RenPa asking why we don't check links, we obviously would know of this issue asap knowing every single customer use this link for the past 2years to register a unit. It's just a bug where you got unlucky I"m afraid.. :-(
As for other issues you may be having, we're sorry to hear of that. Did you open a tech support ticket with us already? I'm sure that our team will be able to help if so.

I openned a ticket. But the problem is not solved yet. The last post from tech support was to set sound system in Dirac at 5.1 channel as my home theater is . But it is the contrary of what your owner manual says. It is say that on the sound system button we must put the channels output by the source in hdmi not the number of channel in receiver as they are bass managed for my sound stage which is 5.1 only.
I did not had the time to try it yet
So I always have the error message level too low, for the moment.

1. Be sure to turn off all Antivirus/Firewall software temporarily until your unit is working

2. USB cable to unit must not exceed 5ft

With regards to HDMI, I wonder if we're talking of the same thing here. There are 2 software here being used:
1) nanoAVR utility (controlling the HDMI, firmware, reset). That software would indeed have some control over the HDMI channel count. (e.g. 5.1/7.1)
2) Dirac Live utility for measuring the speaker. You indeed need to select 5.1 in the drop down menu if you have a 5.1 system. Maybe let us know which part is the confusion and we can take it from there.
