I read on the AVS forum that 2A fuse is now recommended for the DDRC-88A. I guess because so many people have reported blown fuses. I just want to confirm that it is still a slow blow fuse. Here are the specs for a 2A slow blow found on Amazon: "Blowing Time (Slow Blow): 30 min Max @ 210% of rating 600 msec Min, 10 sec Max @ 275% of rating 150 msec Min, 3 sec Max @ 400% of rating 20 msec Min, 300 msec Max @ 1000% of rating." This will allow over 4 amps for 30 minutes before blowing. Just confirming.

Really sorry for missing your post here! We've indeed noticed that 1.5A on the DDRC-88A (adding the miniSHARC + aging cap who create higher inrush current as you'd expect) would be borderline. So we're recommending 2A which is best, i.e. 0.5A more. The issue here is the inrush current which is high as you do need to charge a lot of caps at once. :-)

Okay, so you've confirmed the 2A part of the question. Thanks for that.

But how about the rest of the OPs question? A link to a recommended fuse replacement on Amazon would probably benefit a whole bunch of us.

Thanks in advance.
