By default, DLCT stores projects in folder C:\Users\<User-name>\Documents\MiniDSP\nanoAVR\Projects and targets in folder C:\Users\<User-name>\AppData\Roaming\Dirac\OEM\MiniDSP\nanoAVR\Targets.

I use a laptop to connect to my 88A to perform most DLCT functions, but when I am experimenting with various target curve editor configurations, I like to run DLCT on my desktop computer. This involves copying project and target files from the laptop to the desktop, and then back to the laptop. It would be much simpler if I could create a repository of Dirac project files and target files on a network drive so that each computer could access/update the same set of files.

Is there a way to change the default file locations that DLCT uses? I tried searching the Registry, but was unsuccessful. If not, would others think this would be a good enhancement to suggest to the Dirac Live support team?

Is there a way to have the desktop machine create a separate virtual drive that maps to each of those directories on the laptop?

Hello, John. Yes, that is possible. However, that would require that the laptop be powered on and on the network. What I would like is a solution that allows me to work with DLCT on the desktop and only power up the laptop if I need to load something onto the 88A. So while it is a good suggestion, I would prefer to be able to specify a location for the projects and targets on my NAS.

Hi Jerry, I guess I'm confused, why can't you load and save from/to a share located on the NAS? Both machines could just read and write the same files that way - ?

Well, of course you can manually select the NAS drive. But when you click "load" or "save" in DLCT, the program automatically opens the DEFAULT directory. Being an efficient kind of guy (read: lazy), I would like to alter the default file locations to point to the NAS to avoid having to change the directory each time. This is not a big deal, simply a convenience, if there is a way to do it.

@ Jerry,

Thank for your patience. Holiday season here, we're running short staff.
IN answer to your question, we've got no idea if it's possible but we'll make sure to ask the Gurus at Dirac to see if they have a hint.
