Hi, I received a new DDRC-22D yesterday and sat down to try to configure it. I was able to fetch the license info, download the Dirac Calibration Tool, and adjust the Input Gain without problem. Every time I tried to adjust the Output Gain during calibration the application would freeze. I attempted to reset the unit to factory defaults and that froze. I attempted to update firmware and that froze. Now I am left with a DDRC-22D that does not even appear as a valid USB device in the System Information tool on my Mac. Upon power cycling only the Filter Set 1 light appears lit. There are no lights enabled on Digital Source. The optical output is not putting out any light on the fiber. I believe I need to RMA this unless there is some magic incantation to bring it back from the dead. Please advise.

@ Mackman,

Something is not right indeed.. Few comments:
- Make sure that you're not running both the DDRC-22 utility AND Dirac Live together. That could cause some errors.
- How long of a USB cable were you using for this configuration? It almost sounds like a USB communication issue here.. (i.e. non supported cable)

Anyway, tech support ticket as already recommended by John is the way to get tech support from our team. Forum is here for the community support. We'll take care of your issue easily.

The faulty USB cable was it. I was using an extension that exceeded the maximum length. Support rep was able to walk me through the manual firmware boot process and I'm back to box that works as well as it did when I received it. Not sure how to calibrate it yet though since the included USB cables are too short to span the distance between the audio rack and the listening position.

Probably an USB active repeater can help you!

Yes, USB active repeater would be the way to go indeed.
