I really want to get into Atmos/DTS:X and I already have a 5 channel amp for my mains and surrounds. And I really want to use Dirac Live. Obviously at this point the only option is to get a receiver or pre/pro capable of Atmos and that has preamp outouts and use external amplification (and get another amp to fill in the other 6 channels for a 7.2.4 system). I definitely want something that has HDMI 2.0 ports and is HDCP 2.2a compliant. And not surprisingly I don't care what auto eq is built into the receiver or pre/pro. What cheaper receivers and or pre/pros are recommended? Do you think it would be best to wait another month to see what is announced at CES. Also, MiniDSP, are you considering a 12 channel Dirac Live unit?

@ jagman,

Thanks for your interesting in our platforms, however i"m afraid that I think that you're most likely looking in the wrong place since we don't have any AVR in our portfolio (i.e. requiring ATMOS/DTS:X license). We most likely do room correction processors which is our focus :-( Sounds from what you're looking at that you shoudl look at AVR/Prepro with all the codecs required.. Sorry we can't help.
