Hi.
I am contemplating to buy a DDRC-22A as a preamp. I am now using an 2x8 channel DSP using crossovers, delay and equalization. Crossover for bass is 60hz and they induce a delay of 17ms as they are huge horns under my living room. I prefer to skip the DSP and replace it with a more simple active crossover. Can Dirac handle a 17ms delay up to 60hz?

Hello Bunker,

Just to be clear, the Dirac Live series (DDRC-22 or DDRC-88A) doesn't have "any" other processing than room correction. So it won't be able to do any crossovers.
But if your question whether Dirac Live algorithm can time align up to 17mS? We haven't seen it done so but see no reasons why not especially knowing that the processor has all the toolbox to handle that kind of delay.

Note that we don't know how that setup would work here. You'd have an issue without a crossover (doing time alignment to properly line up the acoustic centers) AND a DDRC-22 only. Dirac won't be able to do that much magic here on a potential analog crossover for a speaker misaligned.. Maybe I'm missing something?
A DDRC-88A (Sub L, High L, Sub R, High R) would be a better fit I think.. At least each speaker will be time aligned..
