After upgrading firmware to v2.17, I've done a new set of measurements and stored successfully my first configuration to bank 1.
Then, I've tried to assign a new configuration to bank 2 but I began getting a pop window with an error saying "Operation failed ! (Result_kFailed)".
I've tried to assign also to bank 3 or bank4, but the message was still remainig the same.
I've tried then to to Restore All to Defaults via the DDRC-88 utility.
Not seeing any improvement I switched off and back on the DDRC-88.
Unfortunately now, I've lost control of the whole unit, and I cannot reconnect using the DDRC -88 Utility.

Doesn't sound good. Could be a hardware failure. Contact MiniDSP support. Good luck.

Update. After many obstinate trials in several hours over the week-end, I've succeded in reviving my DDRC-88.
Basically I've opened the hood and, without irony, I laid my hands on some chips, which of course didn't solve technically but was enough to let me re-flash the unit, via pushing the internal switch one more time - I've done it several and several times till succeding finally like that.
Now my wonderful baby it is back to life and even able to store the banks claimed failing - moreover IT WORKS!.
I'll contact the support team to ask for advice. Thank you.

Can you be more specific? Which 'internal switch' did you push? The reset button?

@ marmasotti

Do get in touch with our team so we understand what's going on here. Sounds like a firmware update that didn't go as planned.

Hi. Any update on this? I am using the new Mac OSX software, works great until the very end, and I now get the same message. I.e. I can't apply the filter from the software to the hardware. Not keen to open the box etc, so any other options would be much appreciated...

Now resolved. I had to power down and reboot the hardware, reboot the software, rescan, then it worked.

@ NickHS,

Glad you got it figured out.. :-)
Important note: We do know when the software will throw this error. It's when you have "both" the DDRC-88A utility (small app for IR control, reset) and the DLCT software together opened. They are both fighting for control of the unit and therefore throwing that error.

So important tip to remember: Always remember to have one or the other connected to the unit.
