The calibration file for the UMIK-1 that can be downloaded from the MiniDSP web site contains a sensitivity parameter. I have been told that it is also OK to use the custom calibration files for the UMIK-1 from Cross Spectrum Labs. However, the CSL calibration files do not contain the sensitivity parameter.

My question: when using a calibration file for the UMIK-1 with the DDRC-88A Dirac Live Calibration Tool, is it important (or essential) that the calibration file have a sensitivity parameter? What happens to the calibration if the sensitivity parameter is missing?

The sensitivity factor is used by REW so it measures correct SPL levels. Dirac doesn't need absolute SPL levels, I would be surprised if it read that parameter.

Hello Jerry,

As already correctly answered by John, we can indeed confirm that Dirac Live software couldn't care less of the Sensitivity parameter. It's not an issue at all that it's not here for the CSpectrum lab calibration file. Only few software here are making use of it for SPL calibration (REW/Ipad apps like studio six)
