Hi Devteam,

I have as per instruction installed a new firmware in my MiniDSP DDRC-22D unit where a preset support for the Apple TV remote is included and everything seem to have gone well. But when using the remote according to the preset use of its buttons absolutely nothing happens. Sometimes a faint blink can be seen on some of the white diodes but without any effect. I can use the master volume knob to change filter banks and select input. But I need the remote to be able to turn filetering on or off easily since that is not possible by the master volume nob apparently, only by remote.

I tried to use the remote "learn" button feature via the DDRC-22 utility application but that seem to be disabled after downloading the new firmware supporting the Apple TV remote.

I have been advised to install DDRC-22 1.0 version previously due to other problem with the output level from the MiniDSP unit.

Any trick I can try or is there a known solution to this?

I tried an other Apple TV remote and that works well!
Both remotes seem to work with my Apple TV so I guess the battery is OK.
Maybe the DDRC-22D is sensitive to IR Power?
Anyhow, it works now and I am pleased with that-

Thanks for your patience on this! Based on your report (first time we hear of this) we actually purchased another Apple remote. Guess what, their IR code are completely different. So it seems like Apple TV and Mac Mini remote might have some versioning going on while we just couldn't find any difference on the look/part number.

We'll send you a new firmware shortly if you want to use the other remote. But sounds like you're all set.

I tried to upgrade with the Apple Remote firmware from the download link. Does not seem to work. Do you have a different version?
I don't have an Apple TV, just bought the remote alone.

please double confirm with us which firmware you've been using here. We haven't heard of any issues to this point since the new update.
Easiest might be to start a tech support ticket (miniDSP.desk.com) so we can help sharing some info on which format you're using.

Realized I reused an old topic in the Dirac group. I o not have a Dirac, but an OpenDRC-DI. The Apple remote fw version is "miniSHARC_Ver2.16.hex" as available on my User download page.

Just so there is no misunderstanding. I am still not able to use my Apple TV remote with my OpenDRC-DI. My last message was just that I realized this was a Dirac ond not OpenDRC topic group. I have also issued a ticket on Feb 26th, but no response yet.
