Today, DIRAC released their latest update that includes 192 kHz support. Will the DIRAC Series from MiniDSP be getting this updated software from DIRAC to support 192 kHz? The limit of only up to 96kHz support has kept me from buying a DDRC-22A. But if it will support 192 kHz soon, that will change my decision.

Would also be good/nice to know if the current "hardware" is the limiting factor for the 96KHz ??

Or that in the future, it is possible to flash the device firmware to support up till 192KHz ??

maybe we can start a thread with a wish list of features we'd like to see on the MiniDSP Dirac Series ?

Dear All,

Few things to know:
1) While Dirac is Dirac, these are different software packaging, compiling and commercially are actually considered 2 different products. (i.e. sales wize) So we're not following the same dev cycle I'm afraid.
2) Dirac PC (i.e. using your OS to run filters) and Dirac on a DSP firmware (i.e. DDRC/nanoAVR DL) are complete different beast to upgrade. You see how many software dev there are in the world. There is only a "fraction" of firmware developer and an even smaller, tiny fraction of "DSP firmware" dev. Simple, it's not easy. :-) Dirac code on the PC isn't "portable" to a "DSP chip". Complete different structure.

Bottom line? At this point, no plans in the horizon I'm afraid...
