I am using the DL version.  I am controlling the volume with the factory stereo volume.  I am not using the controller for the C-DSP at all.  Is there any reason NOT to set the master volume at 0db?  My amp maxes out at 2V and I have the amp gains set to minimum.

Sure, that's fine to leave it at 0dB. Works all the same. :-)
