So I have a c-dsp 8x12 that i was running some of the original 1.xx software on. I had no issues there and used it for many months. I haven't used the 8x12DL in well over a year because i got a new car and was installing a system. This particular system is designed around using the remote as a volume knob. i dont have the OLED version but the original. Anyway, I am trying to update the firmware. Following the instructions perfectly. I do everything im supposed. Afterwards, i read the log and get the error

Dsp settings file not found
Panel firmware file found
Failed to receive upgrade response.

and then the remote firmware file is still there.

What does failed to receive upgrade response mean? Does that mean the update failed? Obviously my controller isnt showing lights or working either. How do i test if the firmware went through
