Hopefully someone can help me out here. I purchased a CDSP 8x12 about two weeks ago and it worked fine. I purchased this unit for the purposes of upgrading to DL. I upgraded the unit without issue, got my key 4 days ago and created a new config. I was able to hear my radio without issue - tested my output routing (by muting channels) everything was good, Since then I have loud static (White noise?) coming from every channel. When I say loud I mean 100% volume on each and every channel. (First time i heard this i had to change me shorts  ). Nothing I do will fix this - the sound is there even though my head unit is set to 0. Even the mute buttons in the UI don't work on on config 1 but on config 2 they do - I am so lost.

Current Setup
Head unit - Dodge U Connect 8.4
PAC Audio AmpPRO 4 - AP4-CH41 (Captures digital audio between the head unit and the factory amp.
TOSLINK from AmpPRO to CDSP - DL

I have not tried RCA's yet but I am afraid that I am going to blow a speakers if I keep testing

Forgot to mention - with all the outbound RCA's unplugged I am able so see gain when I turn up the volume in the inputs tab

So I just tried

1. Resetting the device to factory
2. Create a new basic config
3. Changed from TOSLINK to RCA
4. Reduced Output slide to -72
Nothing worked - same issue but I am glad to say that the mute button did work this time.

Hi Marc...

I have pretty much the same setup as you... 2019 RAM 1500 here... with 8.4" display and using the same PAC unit... and I use the optical toslink out to the miniDSP.

What factory system do you have... and is the factory amp and/or any of the factory speakers still connected?

Are you fading your audio control in your radio all to the front if you left your rear factory speakers connected?

Have you disconnected your factory subwoofer... and/or ANC unit under the front seat? You really only have to disconnect the subwoofer (gray connector on the right side of the factory sub)... and leave the ANC unit connected... that way you still get some benefit of the ANC without any noise issues.

When I was running the ANC with the factory sub connected, I got static noises. I tried the adapter on the ANC that bypasses the microphones, but I couldn't handle the exhaust noise... so I took the adapter out and left the sub disconnected... works like a charm now. But the ANC can cause a lot of issues.

According to PAC... you have to leave the factory amp connected and only disconnect the factory speakers you are not using. In my case with the Alpine system... I disconnected the front center speaker... rewired new front dash and front door speakers with an amp... and rewired rear headliner speakers with another amp... left the rear doors speakers as factory, but I keep the display faded all front so they don't play, but I can fade to rear if for some reason we ever have passengers that want to hear something in the back... which will be rare.

thank you for the reply. After working with the MiniDSP team it looks like I was shipped an older (non v2) unit from my local distributor which may be the source of my issue. It looks like this unit does not like the DL firmware update.

Turns out I was given an old unit (non V2) and when I upgraded to the DL version it went crazy on me. Thanks to the minidsp team for helping me resolve this issue.
