There is hope: In the Dirac forum, this post says:

Please make sure to update your latest build of DDRC22/SHD/DDRC24 as we've fixed the potential culprit for OSx not giving access to the mic

Hopefully the fix will make its way to the C-DSP Dirac soon!

I wanted to finally try DL in car with C-DSP 8x12 and got into same issues on Mac Mojave.

DLCT doesn't see UMIK. Can't set levels + the app crashes almost instantly.

This is sad!

When the update will be available?

I forgot about this thread.......I have been Beta testing 3.0 for the last few weeks - I should have mentioned something on here.

It was so fantastic to be able to use the MacBookPro (with Catalina) for the plug-in and DL......no using two different laptops or having to log into windows 10 through Bootcamp! This one change has made the entire tuning process so much more pleasurable! :)

I tuned using my iMac (yes took it into the garage) so I had a regular USB A. Not sure if Apple makes a USB type C to B adapter someone must...not sure how others are doing it...Prob they are using older MacBooks with USB A . Dirac 3 working for me now. Make sure you're launching Dirac from the "Launch Dirac" tab at the top of midiDSP software. It still crashes often but the mic access problem is fixed (it will ask for permission first time you launch Dirac 3.0).
