miniDSP Device Console (DC) Software ChangeLog
The following Software ChangeLog summarizes the changes made to the miniDSP Device Console (DC). As a reminder, please note that XMOS and DSP firmware are now packaged together inside the miniDSP DC and that you may be requested to upgrade your firmware in order to use the latest version of miniDC. With the Over The Air (OTA) updates, miniDSP DC will automatically trigger a prompt for upgrade to fix some specific bugs or add new features for any of the supported platforms. Please read the following ChangeLOG for more details.
10/01/2023 - Rev 1.0.0 Beta 7

Improvements / Changes:
- Display 'Turn-off-amplifier' warning before changes to the whole Preset (such as Reset-Preset)
- Change wording from 'Restore to default settings' to 'Initialize to default settings' when a new device is connected (there is no existing presets).
- Display a prompt with link to open SHD/Volumio webpage if an update is available, by searching for SHD/Volumio from the local-network. It is performed together with Device Console and Firmware update-check.
- Change default check-interval of program-update from 24-hour to 1-hour.
- Preserve letter case in Preset name display.
- Selected Preset now in color instead of black - likewise, the chosen Crossover/PEQ input mode, the chosen PEQ band.
Bug Fixes:
- USB-Audio lost after one of the following completed: Reset-Preset(s), DSP-Programming (Upgrade or Refresh), Import-Preset, Settings-Changed Resolutions, Dirac-Upgrade(Model Conversion).
- Crossover chart does not update according to channel-changes at context menu.
- Master Volume does not respond to mouse-wheel if device is not already plugged when Device Console starts
- Setting Gain / Delay to '0' might not take effect if the input box was cleared.

Improvements / Changes:
- Put Discovered-Devices tab as default landing page. Renamed Welcome tab to Version History.
- Check for new Software immediately upon program start.
- Display user reminder on disconnecting all outputs during model-conversion (e.g. Dirac feature upgrade)
Bug Fixes:
- Compressor 'Enabled' status not represented as Toggle Button ON-state.
- Crossover: linked-channel chart not updated immediately to current channel changes.

- Flex-Eight DSP Firmware: updated to v1.7 - output Delay values no longer limited to maximum of 25ms.
- Flex-Eight XMOS Firmware: updated to v1.53 - fixed pop noise
- Flex XMOS Firmware: updated to v1.53 - fixed a bug where no audio output after resuming from standby-mode, if that mode is entered by the front-panel-knob.
Improvements:
- Dirac Live: DC shows busy-screen to prevent user from connect to the device from DC by mistake while Dirac Live application is running.
- XMOS Firmware Update: post a user notice and not proceed if the existing firmware version is too old to support upgrade by Device Console.
Bug Fixes:
- Model Conversion, e.g. from Flex to Flex-DL could result in incomplete Preset files if user chooses the option 'Upgrade and Synchronize', while there is no existing Flex-DL Preset to apply.
- Dirac Live: MacOS user unable to Load Mic Calibration, Save/Load Project files.
- Busy overlays could stuck showing '... in-progress'.
NOTE: SHD/DDRC24/2x4HD are in template/Offline support ONLY. i.e. you will not be able to connect/control any of these platforms yet. We plan to release support in the comming weeks once the software QC is finalized for these platforms.

- Flex-8DL version 1.17: fixed issue where Dirac Delay value is always shown as 19.97ms.
Improvements / New Features
- SHD-Studio and SHD-Power now has their own dedicated User Manual pages
- Open-Source-Licenses used in the Device Console now included in the About Page
- Software Updates:
* Firmware-only update mechanism added. User will be prompt with a dialog with the message 'Newer Version of Firmware(s) used in your devices is Available. Download and Install?'.
Note-1: This in-app-update only updates the firmware(s) bundled in the application itself. User will still need to program the new firmware to device itself by following the existing methods.
Note-2: Only previously connected devices will be affected. For example, if Device Console has never been connected to a 2x4HD, any 2x4HD-specific firmware updates will not notify the user.
Note-3: The checking follows general Software Update checking schedule. In particular, there will be no checking for in-app-updates if Software Update checking is disabled.
* A 'Check-Now' button is added to allow user to check for Software Updates outside the scheduled periods.
* Software-Update-Check related failures will now longer pop up a dialog, in case the DC is working in environment without internet access.
* The two-minute check at start up is removed, now that Check-Now button is available.
* On the other hand, Check-Now action, initiated by user, will always shows a dialog reporting results: Available, Already-Up-To-Date or Errors.
- Dialogs has been increased at MaCOS version to better display the messages, especially the 'Settings Changed' action-prompt upon connection.
- EULA license agreement dialog GUI buttons colors.
Bug Fixes
- Dirac-License-Email: improve the 'mailto' link hoping to prevent incorrect activation code being added to the Email Compose Window.
- Dirac calibration: fixed problem where changes made with remote-control not being reflected to the Device Console, immediately after Dirac Calibration.
- Dirac calibration: fixed problem where in some cases, the first trigger of audio-source change from Device Console will have no effect, immediately after Dirac Calibration.
- Level Meter: fixed problem where Level Meter will not update values right after Preset is changed with remote-control or front-panel-knob
