Summary:
Need a way for USBStreamer B initialize with external ADAT by default, so it work upon plugin in iPAD.
Did not find a way to configure streamer to external clock while plug into the iPAD.

Test Setup:
iPad Pro 11" 2020 (USB-C port)
RME ADI-648 (ADAT)
Powered USB Hub.

What works:
8xADAT channela show up on iPAD (both AUM and AudioBus apps) upon USB-C plugin.
"Some" audio is going in/out of streamer, except that it is unusable because lots of click.

What seems broken:
Diagnostic LED on ADI-648 indicates the USBStreamer is not synchronizing . There is no synch problems with other ADAT equipments on same ADI-648.

Using USBStreamer as master clock is not an option on this setup, the master clock has to be the ADI-648.

I am able to change to external synch with Windows, but it is pointless because need to unplug/plug USB-C into the iPAD for it to recognize the ADAT ports.

(Upon unplug, the configuration reverts to internal, and that is the problem).

Proposed Solution
This was in another thread: Release firmware variants that forces always external synch.
As needed, I volunteer to test a "beta" version on my setup.

Thanks.

I have the exact same request.
USBStreamer (clock slave) via ADAT to RME UCX audio card (clock master).
Thanks.

Hello,

I think I have the same problem (?)
Using an iPad with an USBstreamerB, I'm trying to catch the ADAT into a Clarett 4 pre USB but no sound at all going into the ADAT / Clarett input...
All seems fine with the USBStreamer into AUM, all ADAT's output are there, sound seems to run correctly, but nothing into the Clarett :(
The Clarett can't lock the sync while in ADAT mode...It's fine while set as internal, but no sound.

Any recommended firmware ?

Thanks !.

Hi crony,

Glad to hear that you got it working. Was it a misconfig in the Focusrite interface?
