I need help putting together the hardware for a sound installation. I need 8 independent channels / speakers coming out from a laptop (running Max MSP Jitter).
My plan is to use eight “adafruit MAX98357 class D mono amp / dac” (learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-max98357-i2s-class-d-mono-amp) to the J1 pins of the usb streamer, but I did so today and it doesn’t work.
Are they not compatible? Any suggestions for a work around?

Did you check the sample rate, did you check the clocks are compatible with our datasheet information? Quite a lot of info there to read on the clock format/compatibility. I2S isn't universal, it's not plug&play in all cases. It's not 12V DC hence our long user manual.. DevTeam
