Hi,

I have purchased a USB STREAMER KIT and want to use it as a TOSLINK/USB converter.

I have connected a Bluetooth audio receiver (REALCABLE 16bits 48KHZ) ) to the Toslink IN of the streamer and USB connected to a PC on WIN 7 64bits.

The driver is well install and I have try all configurations available: Stereo, 10 channels, ADAT....etc

When I play music through the Bluetooth receiver it come in the PC but the audio quality is very poor. So poor like an extreme saturation and not able to listen correctly the voice.

The Bluetooth receiver in not in cause because I have tested it with the TOSLINK OUT to another receiver and the sound it's very good.

Is somebody had this problem? Any of your suggestions are welcome

Thanks

@P.Douillard

Not sure what it could be but it's most likely a format issue. i.e. you're sending 16bit in, USBStreamer is configured for 24bit default..
Just a wild thought.. How are you making these test? Using our driver or windows?

More info would be required so we can help.

Yes it is confirmed:

16bits STREAMER not working correctly but with 24bits it's perfect.

Sorry for the delayed answer but better late than never

Thank a lot for your help

@P.Douillard

Most likely down to your BT receiver (maybe not able to support 24bit?)
Did you configure your driver correctly for a recording @ 16bit? BY default we're 24bit...

Just a thought.

Hi,

My BT device don't support 24 bits format output and USBTREAMER cant't receive 16 bits (Only 24bits)

Then I have ordered a new BT device with 24 bits output on toslink and I will try it soon to confirm if both are then compatible

I have checked the new NCH and it's also on 24 bits only. Is it plan any futher update to use 16 bits input ? It's also strange for output we can configure 16 to 32 bits and for the input only 24 bits.

Regards

@P.Douillard,

Knowing you're using TOSLINK, we're still struggling to understand what could be the issue here..
Can you please show us the settings you have under WIn oS for your recording session @16bit? Are you using ASIO or WDM?
Please make sure to use ASIO and also make sure to select "External clock" and the correct sample rate within the ASIO control panel.

Also under WIN10 Audio sound properties, select the USBStreamer and make sure to configure the input/output to the same sample rate frequency of 44.1kHz
