Hello,

I want to do infrasonic measurements using a microphone array. The platform should be Raspberry Pi(ish). Can I use the UMA-8, replace the original microphones and install them in different locations (basically I would like to have 8 external inputs like those for mic-8)? I think until here it should not really be a problem apart from soldering. However, can I read out raw data? And most importantly, is there a high pass filter anywhere in the circuit/logic that would interfere with my infrasonic signal or does raw mean raw?

I have been searching for solutions to read out 8 PDM microphones as clean as possible but it does not seem to be something popular so there's not much to be found... I am mainly working on signal processing and not PCB design so this is why I need a fast solution, because I would probably need some weeks to come up with a decent layout all by myself.

Kind regards,
Domme

the RAW audio output sounds untouched by any DSP but as far as the MEMS microphones they are surface mount so i'm not sure if it is even possible to unsolder, but i haven't tried it

Thanks a lot, I will ask around our electronic workshop if somebody has experience with such fiddly unsoldering jobs.
