I would like to use a UMA-8 in coordination with a Raspberry Pi (3b) + PocketSphinx (ASR/NLU). Sphinx expects 16-bit audio.

Would it be possible to control the output bitdepth in the UMA-8?

I can software convert (PulseAudio/custom) but this may cause some resource contention based on the other software running on the rpi.

Thoughts?

Right now we don't have support for 16bit I"m afraid. Only 24bit .You might need to use an ASRC to do that I'm afraid.
