Hi,

I've been using a UMIK-2 microphone for acoustic measurements under Linux, but tests under Windows gave the same results.
The Mic is clipping when using a 114 dB sound calibrator on it. As I understand the specs the mic should not clip (0 dBfs) before 125 dB SPL.

Also, (iirc correctly that was different for the UMIK-1) the gain setting is not changing the ADC output.

Can anybody explain to me what is happening?

Cheers!

How do you change the gain? I am used to seeing a "boost" slider in Windows' sound settings.

I am using this mic for occasional online calls and the sound level is too low.
