I have some questions about the UMIK-X.

I need 4 individual mics where each mic can be put on a stand and positioned independently so that I can take measurements in 4 different locations simultaneously. What is the reason behind placing 4 mics on each module?

Can I place 4 UMIK-X modules on 4 stands so that each stand has a single module?

Can four UMIK-2 mics be used simultaneously using some kind of a multiplexor unit by MiniDSP? - How does this compare to four UMIK-X modules?

My objective is room eq, multi sub integration and calibration.

As you have noticed, I have not had any response from the support team.

However, regardless of my questions, I presume that it is possible to have 4 modules mounted on 4 tripod stands in order to take 4 simultaneous measurements which is very useful. John, the developer of REW has introduced a feature in REW where the 4 measurements per module can be averaged to provide a total of 4 separate responses based on module locations as opposed to realising 16 measurements (4 x 4mics per module).

I'm not sure why there are 4 mics per module and whether this is a move to enhance accuracy while maintaining cost effectiveness. Only the MiniDSP support team can explain that.

Having said that, I do appreciate this excellent solution by MiniDSP and the exceptional efforts of John.
