Hello all,

My UMIK rolled off the table and fell about 3 feet onto a hard floor.

The mic is recognised by REW and seems to measure the pink noise.

Does a drop like like damage the mic internally? Does it change the calibration? How to check for damage?

Thx don

How to check for damage?

What I would do would be to measure something I have before, and compare the new measurement to the old one. Obviously this only works if you've had the microphone for a while though? How successful it will be as a test will also depend on how accurately you are able to reproduce previous measurement conditions.

Yes, of course!!!

I have used the mic quite a few times before the fall. I'll run a new measurement and compare the results. I am really hoping all is well.

Thanks very much.
