TOPIC: UMIK-1 USB Cable - What to look for?

UMIK-1 USB Cable - What to look for? 3 years 4 months ago #32754

I am looking for a longer cable for the UMIK-1 (10meters or so). What keywords should I be searching for? Mini usb? Does it have to be shielded? On your product page, it just states 1 x shielded USB cable (1.5m).

Cheers.

If you're looking for an extension cable, USB type A to miniUSB would be the cable. Note that max lenght of USB 2.0 is 5m though.

Hello - does USB-C to USB-A work with the UMIK-1?

I prefer to setup in the back of the room. Either directly behind my couch or off to the side.
So I use a long USB extension cable on the USB-A/B control line to the miniDSP. Then I use the supplied mic cable.
