I am unable to get the gain of the UMIK-1 in REW's Measure screen to a high enough level.
It is always too low.
Attached screen capture will show output level is high, but input level is too low.
This happens on two different machines so suspect this is a UMIK-1 issue.
Please indicate how to resolve this.

2 things are likely. Either your speakers are turned down too low and you need to increase the volume, or Windows input volume is set too low. Right click the speaker icon, select recording devices, select your microphone, select properties, under 'listen' tab make sure 'listen to this device' is un-selected, under 'levels' tab turn microphone and microphone boost all the way up.

@ nn2015

Something isn't right here indeed.
we're assuming that you followed all exact steps from here? www.minidsp.com/applications/acoustic-me...mik-1-setup-with-rew

Please send us some screenshots of what you're seeing on REW.
Another test would be to make sure that UMIk-1 is working first. Are you using a Long USB cable? (typical issue)

In answer to your question; "Are you using a long cable"
The answer is YES.
I have no choice but to use a long cable of around 5 metres.
Could the cable be causing the loss of gain?

UMIK-1 Serial Number 7008268
My calibration file came with default DIP switch set to 18db sensitivity & calibration file sensitivity set to
Sens Factor =-.969dB, SERNO: 7008268

I have now set DIP switch to 24db sensitivity.
What should the calibration file sensitivity set to??
i.e. what should ??? be set to in line below?
Sens Factor =-.???dB, SERNO: 7008268

@ nn2015

There is a 6dB gain difference between 24 and 18 so you just need to adjust the sensitivity to -0.969 + 6 = 5.031dB
