If I buy a umik1 what is it's cal file?

Is it a .FRD or .CAL file?

I ask because I would rather get the cross spectrum calibrated umik1 and I want to be sure they are the same

Also 2nd question
I have umm6 USB Dayton mic , it's a .CAL file how do I convert that to a .FRD / or whatever file the umik-1 is

The cross spectrum gives a .FRD file

I'm wanting to not have to buy a umik1 to buy a ddrc22D and use my Dayton mic but if I do have to buy a mic I would prefer the cross spectrum umik1 I just want to be sure I know the file format the ddrc22D uses and will accept

All of those types of files are in an ascii text format, so (usually) you can just change the extension to convert.
There are different types of header information, etc, etc, but the basic column format is always the same. Frequency, amplitude, phase.

@ Andrew

The cal file would be text file as explained by Dave. A cross spectrum mic would indeed work but I wonder if you need to reformat to txt though.. i.e. copy and paste format to text.
