Hello DevTeam,

I would like to read the Umik serial number programmatically to perform hardware verification and automatic calibration file download.

However, the micro is driverless and the USB serial field always contains 00002 (Checked both with lsusb -v (iSerial field) and using a custom program that reads USB configuration).

So, is there a way to get this Serial? If yes, how can I do this?

Thanks in advance,
Alex

Hello Acha,

That sounds like a great project unfortunately I'm afraid that we don't have support for SN# read. That SN# is only on the microphone body so your only option will be to ask your user to use manual input.

Hello DevTeam,

Thanks for your reply.

But that's not really good news. :(
I'll try to find a workaround as I need to ensure that our customers do not replace the Umik provided with another microphone.
