hi,
tried to install Rogue Amoeba LineIn on my macbook with os10.6.8, but Lineln just runs with os10.7 or higher....
what to do without upgrading to os10.7 ?

Hm. Maybe you can find an older version - email Rogue Amoeba to ask?

I think you'll also need to install an older version of REW, current version says 10.7 or later.

FuzzMeasure isn't free, but it does everything except for polar maps.

With regard to older versions of LineIn, I heard from Rogue Amoeba and they have them all accessible here:

The version of REW to use would be Beta 20:

I'd consider upgrading the OS though if at all possible :)
