Hello,

What is the P-P voltage on the AES3 outputs of the UDIO-8 ?

Thank you

@ Pos

In answer to your question, the UDIO is 3.3V. Standard AES-3 output. If you select SPDIF option it will be 1V.

Hoping this info helps? Contact us if you need help for a project. ;-)

Hello Devteam,

Thank you, that is great!
Still 110 ohms though I suppose? It looks like it is transformer coupled.
How can I change between 3.3V and 1V? Could not find anything about this in the manual.
I am using Linux with standard Alsa drivers.

Not 100% sure if it's clear but there are actually 2 x IO card. (completely
- 1 x IO card for AES_EBU in/out - 110 Ohm - 3.3V
- 1 x IO card for SPDIF in/out - 75Ohm - 1.1V

A bit clearer in our new user manual but we can keep adding more info!

Thanks for the info, looks like I overlooked the cable option !

So this is AES3id right ?
Is it the same firmware for both cards? I mean does the output card with the transformers also to the voltage dividing?
Is it possible to buy the output card and cable separately?

Regarding firmware, is it the same as the UDAC?

It's indeed AES3, the same firmware for both cards. The only difference is that we need to change the impedance. That's it.

Sure, we'd be happy to help. Please contact us directly (support.minidsp.com) we'll take it from there.
