Hi all,

Yesterday I found Richer Sounds (UK) were selling off PIONEER SSLW500 subwoofers for £4.99. I bought two!

They're stupidly cheap because Pioneer made loads of them but nobody wants them as they're PASSIVE.

I have a 5.1 channel amp running my stereo (leftover from a friend's home theatre upgrades) so had spare channels. I now have the front channels driving two Celestion F1 bookshelf speakers and the rear channels driving two of these £4.99 subs. After tuning everything with REW and a miniDSP 2x4 it sounds fabulous. Deep rich room-filling bass.

Obviously not for everyone, but for £4.99 I'd hate to see people miss out.
