I am looking to mount my MiniDSP in a box, but I have a problem finding a suitable chassis mount USB jack. As far as I can see from the datasheet, ther is no USB data inputs on the expansion ports, so preferably one that has a mini USB connector in the other end.

Is there such a thing on the market? Because of my problems finding a suitable unit I guess other DIYers would also appreciate if you made available such a device.

Hello Mattias,

The part you're looking for is called a Panel mount USB connector. It might help you in your search. Typical electronic distributors (e.g. Digikey/Mouser/Farnell) do have a couple of choices on these.

Here is a link to the Farnel site (europe)

My typical choice is to go for Neutrik since they have very good connectors, but other choices would work.

This being said, I'll look into sourcing a couple of connectors the next time I go the electronic distric.

Looking forward to seeing the pics of your project!
