Has anyone considered to use the miniDSP combined with miniDIGI as a digital volumen control with balanced output? It should be straight forward with either the filter or the mixer plug in. Just invert the phase on two channels and bypass the filter (if you use the filter plug in). In this way you have a small pre-amplifier with digital in and balanced analogue out. One use of this could be with Squeezebox or similar music streamers to avoid their bit reduction in the digital volume control.
