You need to point the software to the actual configuration file, not the large zip file containing loads of different files. I believe the zip file should contain instructions for you with more details.

I'm not sure where I can find that file you speak of. I've followed the oxmo's firmware version 1.18 follow the download to that got the migration file open that up went through the steps like it says on the mini DSP info and I still got the same error not sure where you are suggesting I go to find this other file thank you though for giving me a hand I just can't figure this out for the life of me and I'm not too bad with a computer. Maybe you can email me (address deleted) a pic or the details of this.. I was hoping it was because my PC was Windows 7 but since I did the upgrade to Windows 10 I'm still getting the same issues

I suggest you contact official miniDSP support using the Support link at the top of the page.
