Many devices have a feature to lock the volume control with a fixed or maximum volume. My integrated amp has this feature so it can act like a power amp. My streamer has this feature so you can set it normal and control the volume from it OR lock the volume to it can only be controlled by the amp. I would like the ability to lock the volume on my SHD Studio too (set from the Device Console).

In my case I am using the SHD as my preamp and control amp and I use the miniDSP remote to adjust the volume and inputs. It works just fine, but if I used my streamer as the controller I could not only adjust the volume and inputs, but also control the Play, Pause, Next, Previous, Etc... with the streamers app.

I am not an engineer. but I feel a volume control lock could be added to the SHD software/firmware. Another feature would be to be able to make some of the remotes buttons capable of "learning".

One last thing while I am here, many Control Console windows have an "Expert" mode. It would be nice if the software remembered your preference when you went to that window next time.
