From now it is difficult to address this kind of setup :

• Stereo 3 or 4 ways in active setup (a miniDSP Flex Eight or similar can do the job but most of DSP / USB DAC are limited to 8 outputs max)
• Plus the usage of 4 subs, all in active with specific DSP treatment for each (see multiple sub optimizer MSO software)

It will be good to do that to have a master DSP (for example a Flex Eight), controlling the stereo 3 ways and the volume and to send 1 or 2 channels to some slave DSPs integrated in each sub or pair of subs.

Maybe with future implementation of Wisa, it will be possible ? The question is, does miniDSP plan to build some simple Wisa receivers integrating DSP functions ? A board with :

• a Wisa receiver
• a DSP function (1 or 2 channels)
• a DAC (with balanced option will be nice)

This kind of product will take place inside sub or simple speakers and can be used with a master DSP to extend channels possibility or directly with a multichannel Wisa transmitter.

Does miniDSP also plan to build Wisa transmitter (with AES / SPDIF / USB inputs) ?
