It would be great to have additional I/O version of Flex with AES/EBU outputs. This is the only thing that prevents me from upgrading my OpenDRC-DI to Flex.

Yeah, something like this.

With Flex,  instead of a 2x4HD, having a coax output, you can  buy a spdif coax to AES/EBU cable. Less than $20 a piece. The Flex casing does not have room for tht extra ouptut connetor, so, my guess, little chance that there will be a special version.
