Is the power LED of miniDSP 2x4 HD actually capable of displaying multiple colors? The User Manual for 2x4 HD & 2x4 HD Kit suggests so, but I have never seen it light up with any color other than blue.

Ideally, this LED would light up a different color for each of the 4 configurations. I use the miniDSP remote to rapidly toggle among the 4 configurations for my work, so being able to look at the 2x4 HD box and tell which of the 4 configurations is active by LED color will be tremendously helpful.

I recently asked the folks at MiniDSP about the two color LED used in the 2x4HD. They informed me that blue was the power ON indicator and that the second color "is not being used at this time". I'm guessing that maybe it will have a purpose in the future.

Doesn't it blink its second colour when it receives a signal from the remote?

Mine doesn't.

Nor mine.

If it does have a multi-coloured LED I'd actually be interested in an option for it to change colour depending on the input selected rather than the configuration in use.

Mine definitely flickers red when receiving a signal from the remote.
I'd love to see a simple output gain display and input selection display.

I double-checked last night and mine just stays blue all the time :( .

@devteam are there different versions of the 2x4 HD? Is this something that can be changed with a firmware update or is there a hardware limitation? Having the LED indicate when it has received a command would be helpful as it can be a bit unreliable.

I've just spotted the "multi-coloured" LED on the spec sheet. I thought to myself, "great!", I can adjust the ludicrously bright, blue LED which at night when the lights are off could help land a 747.

At the moment, I've had to put a piece of black insulating tape over it. But alas it seems its not possible unless someone has figured out a way?
