On the '2 Way Crossover Adv' plugin, but probably on other plugins as well, to compare the effect of the equalisation curves it is currently necessary to manually enable or disable each Eq band separately, and on each channel separately - up to 24* different bands in all.

To enable a quick 'A/B' test, how about a 'Bypass All' button somewhere on the Parametric EQ sections? Ideally a button on one of the input EQ sections would control both input channels, and a separate button on one of the output EQ sections would cover all output channels. Or perhaps output channel 1 would be linked with output channel 3, and 2 with 4. Or perhaps both options - one to bypass all output EQ, and one to bypass just the bands set for the matching output channel.

*Oops - 36 bands. 2 input channels + 4 output channels, times 6 bands each. It takes a while to bypass all 36 bands, so A/B comparison isn't easy.

@ Chill

A good idea indeed.. Maybe in the future we can see how that is possible.

I totally agree with this, and was about to start a new topic on the subject - I have the 2x4HD plug in and it would be so very useful to be able to bypass an entire eq section to enable fast A/B comparisons. Bypassing individual bands is certainly useful in certain situations, but if I have loaded a new/full set of bi-quads, its impossible to judge the effect of the new eq curve unless I can bypass the whole eq section. I work in music production, and the eq sections in the 2x4HD plug in are unique in my experience in not having a "Bypass all" option.

It would also help to speed up workflow if there was a way to copy a configuration directly between the 4 configuration slots, rather than having to (for example) save the config from A to the host computer, and then load it to B, C or D.

Also (sorry!) it would be very useful to be able to have the names of the configurations displayed in the plug in (instead of it just showing config 1, config 2 etc) - again, this would better enable quick A/B comparisons as iterations of the x-over design progress. Also, maybe a little asterisk to indicate whether a config had been edited since it was last saved would be useful!

I don't want to appear to be complaining about your software, it really has some fantastic features in terms of how it enables the user to access the DSP, in a very easy to understand way. There are just a couple of little tweaks which might help speed up the user's workflow and help them to avoid making mistakes.

(for example, I am using the same device to work on two different projects, one is a full range/stereo in/stereo out room correction, and the other is a three way crossover - so you can understand it would be potentially disastrous to switch to a full range config when I am connected to a three way set-up - hence my request that you can lable the configs)

Many thanks

D

Would like to bump this thread, this is actually really important feature and really annoying to disable each band separately when you try to A/B and compare things with and without EQ.
Can we get a bypass button for the whole EQ plugin? Should be pretty simple to implement this feature.
