Can I remove the Dirac client from my DDRC 24 (upgraded from 2x4 HD), and restore the normal 2x4 HD client?
And if I can do this, if in the future I want to reinstall Dirac, it will ask me the same code I already had, or it will need an other approach? Ty


Ps. Atm cause I have more than 3 subs I have problem to calibrate them with the Dirac, and I would prefer for now the 2x4HD approach

Do you want to use the FIR capability of the 2x4 HD? I think that's the only functionality you lose by 'upgrading' to the DDRC-24. I'm asking as I'd have thought you could do everything you want with your unit as it is now.

I do want the same downgrade too. I purchased the Dirac upgrade, but after endless tries, it never worked in my Mac mini (I found IP port conflicts and sent a report to support- never answered-, but even after those conflicts singled out and with the software using those ports stopped, new conflicts appeared). So I lost all the equalizations done previously for the basic 2x4HD, that can't be loaded in this Dirac version.

In my other Mac (macbook air), Dirac doesn't get my Umik-1 mic input, that previous to the upgrade worked flawlessly.

Again, Minidsp support never answered my email requests, btw, after the initial one that basically said "read the manual", although I gave a detailed explanation of the IP conflicts and several other issues that made clear I did read the manual, SEVERAL TIMES....

So, 'how this' back-to-2x4HD' has to be done?
